Seth McPhail

After a decade of dancing professionally, Seth found himself struggling to keep up with the physical, mental, and emotional demands of being a professional athlete and artist. Yoga has helped him to approach movement more mindfully and find the balance between ease and effort on stage, in the studio, and in his personal life. 

Seth’s fascination with movement began when he wandered into a Ballet class his freshman year in College. After changing his major multiple times, Seth gave into his passion for movement and went on to receive his BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University.

Seth is currently in his 4th season with Open Dance Project and teaches dance class at Hunter Dance Center to people of all ages. 

Seth brings his knowledge of functional movement into his Yoga classes and encourages his students to explore their full selves through mindful practice, pranayama, and creative flows. Seth is passionate about changing our perceptions of what is possible as we work towards becoming more fully integrated beings.
