Rachel Davidson
Rachel began her yoga journey at age 15 when she accompanied a friend to a yoga class at her gym. She became infatuated with the practice, which allowed her to slow down and become curious about her mind and body. Rachel grew up dancing, and while she has always loved creative movement, she found that yoga provided her the opportunity to accept herself as she is, rather than the pressure to fit into a box. Rachel feels particularly inspired by the subtle aspects of yoga, such as breathwork, meditation, and stillness. She finds joy in witnessing students’ experiences of self discovery and empowerment through the practice of yoga. Rachel has trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative styles, and has taught in studios, outdoor venues, and at a clubhouse for those who live with serious mental illness. When she is not practicing or teaching, Rachel works as a mental health therapist. She enjoys spending her free time in nature, walking, bike riding, and trying new restaurants.
