Laura Trachtman

After being introduced to Anusara yoga over 20 years ago as a new mom, I went down the yoga teacher training path eight years ago. Influenced by my teachers, peers and students, I aim to offer creative, powerful, dynamic and engaging yoga classes where students walk away feeling inspired and deeply connected. I believe in being a student first and am continually expanding my knowledge with a deep commitment to my personal practice and community. My wonderful teachers include Jonny Kest, David Swenson, Sarah Powers, David Williams and Janet Stone. I have over 1000 hours of formal yoga training.

I'm also a culinary school graduate and love to cook and share healthy, tasty food with family and friends. You'll find me at our local co-op and at farmer's markets on the weekends. I believe food is a great source for healing, strength and energy medicine.

I wrote a food blog for many years and would love to swap recipes any time. Another serious interest of mine is the Blue Zone study on longevity. I believe looking at what unites healthy communities world-wide highlights the intersection of yoga, meditation, community and food with a higher purpose.
