With the utmost sincerity…
and the depths of my heart, thank you. This month Union Studio celebrates four years of classes, trainings, workshops and spiritual travel. You, and yes I mean you personally, have been the fuel behind the operations. Any small studio owner will tell you, despite what it may look like from the outside, it is NOT a glamorous position. Aside from teaching the classes, there are blankets and towels to be washed, floors to be swept, and toilets to be cleaned. Nights are spent doing administrative work and developing class content. When people ask if I own the place, I usually admit that my most important title is probably “janitor.” It may surprise you to know, I absolutely love doing it. What goes through my mind doing the laundry and cleaning the toilets is excitement. I am excited to prepare for an important and beloved guest. I want everything to be just “so.”
The greatest compliment I ever receive is imperceptible to most. I watch people enter the studio. I see their shoulders drop, take a sigh of relief and their face actually change. I don’t ever need anyone to notice why this happens, just to experience the intention behind the work, which is “you are welcome here.” No pre-requisite, no expectation, no special ability or clothing just you as you are. You are welcome.
To the teachers and staff at Four Dragons, I wish I could find more accurate words to express my appreciation and gratitude. You all support me in ways that are immeasurable and indescribable. I trust you implicitly. I am humbled by your dedication to the students, our studio and your unrelenting quest of knowledge and growth. You all mean the world to me. Thank you so much.
It fills my heart to serve this little corner of the world and You have everything to do with it. You, the client, our family, are the only reason we exist. As a small token of our appreciation, please join us Saturday, March 8th at any regularly scheduled class. We will have giveaways, sweet treats and refreshments. Thank you for trusting us, spending time with us (we know you could be doing so many other things) and for being the heart and soul behind the Four Dragons Yoga. You are so loved and accepted.
In gratitude,
Kim
